Admissions requirements vary by program. Select your program below to learn who can apply.

Applicants should possess a doctoral or master’s level degree in psychology, social work, education, counseling, nursing or an allied field, providing the degree qualifies for licensing under New York State Law.

Prospective candidates seeking licensure as psychoanalysts under New York State law should possess a doctorate or master’s degree in fields other than those listed above. This may include health related degrees that do not qualify for separate licensing, or degrees in the humanities, arts, business, etc. Completion of the LP Program qualifies the candidate to sit for the licensing exam in New York State.

Open to master's- and doctoral-level applicants interested in child and adolescent development and clinical work. Applicants without these credentials who have relevant experience or a demonstrated commitment to the field are also encouraged to apply.

Open to graduates of CATP Level 1 who wish to continue their psychoanalytic studies by taking courses alongside PPSC analytic training candidates.

Master's degree or current enrollment in a master's program, plus client-facing experience.

Open exclusively to Clinical Journeys 1 graduates.

3. Interview &
Admissions Review
Once your application is complete, you'll meet with PPSC staff to discuss your background, interests, and training goals. Admissions decisions are individualized, with recommendations based on each applicant's experience and readiness for training.
